The CUG - Codon Usage Viewer is a computational tool developed to calculate and creating comparative graphics of preference in the use of codons between viruses and their respective host.
This tool allows the simultaneous visualization of codon using NRSCU values of up to three different genes to the same species that infect bacteria.
The values are calculated by the software using data extracted from sequences present in GenBank files, provided by the user. The software supports the export of complete graphs and export graphs focused on a particular set of synonyms codons determined by the user to PNG file format.
The CUV also supports exporting the values illustrated in the graphs to the tabular form, generating a file in HTML format containing a table with the values, facilitating the implementation of deeper statistical analysis.
